Tasks for the delegates

During a MUN conference, students simulate a diplomatic meeting of a UN committee to create the RESOLUTIONS together. They need to prepare for this simulation – to do so, they need to:

study basic UN information about the United Nations (click for Preparation Guide)
learn and follow the Rules of Procedure (click for more details)
learn the Study Guide from their Chairs (click for more details)
research the position of the country they represent (click for Preparation Guide)
write the official POSITION PAPER (Opening speech) and send it to their chair (click for Preparation Guide)
join the Discord server (there delegates and chairs communicate with each other – you get an invitation via email)

Every delegate works in a Committee on one topic and in the General Assembly on another. Don’t forget to prepare for both 🙂

Preparation Guide for Students

Delegation managers

The responsibility of the Delegation manager is to organise the group and its logistics and supervise their students.

Before the conference, they need to:

register the students and delegations
manage the accommodation (we have some offers from the hotels near the conference venues – we can book rooms for you here – see below)
provide information necessary to participate in conference events
send the information about free time activities participation (available in March)
