UN General Assembly (UNGA) 2023 ZAMUN

Reducing nuclear danger

In these desperate times for a sustainable way of living, clean energy is an essential point of a working system. The backbone of low-carbon electricity and reducing CO2 emissions is definitely the usage of nuclear power and hydropower. Not only is nuclear power helpful to the environment, power plants are also generating long-term jobs and a higher demand for skilled labour compared to other energy technologies. However, our society is not always sunshine and roses, trying to be the suddenly awakened hero of this age. War is unfortunately used as the solution to a lot of issues, and the presence of nuclear danger is always a possibility that could end in a self-destructing catastrophe.

Dear delegates!

It is my utmost pleasure to be able to call myself the President of the General Assembly at this year’s ZAMUN. Even though this school year is the most stressful thing that has ever happened to me, I am glad that I am still able to help with the conference. The responsibility is enormous, but I have to admit, I am honoured. This is my last year at this school and this MUN, therefore I hope to enjoy it as much as possible. I am certain that you will love it as well and the experience will be unforgettable. Prepare as much as you can and I hope to see you all in April.
